FreeCell unblocked: play FreeCell online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
FreeCell is a solitaire game with no hidden information. All 52 cards are dealt face up into eight columns, so every decision comes from what you can already see. There is no stock pile to cycle through and no luck after the deal, and that makes it a calm change of pace from the reflex games around it on this site.
If you came here for the rhythm of A Dance of Fire and Ice, FreeCell asks for the opposite kind of focus. Nothing is timed. A game is a few minutes of planning ahead, and winning is far more about thinking several moves out than about fast hands.
How to play
With a mouse or touch, click a card to pick it up and click again where you want it to go. The build also offers undo and hint buttons, which are worth using while you learn.
The goal is to move every card onto the four foundation piles at the top right, one pile per suit, building each from ace up to king. The rules that get you there:
- Cards in the eight columns build downward in alternating colours, so a red 6 can sit on a black 7.
- The four free cells each hold a single card as temporary parking.
- Only the bottom card of a column is available to move, unless you shift a correctly built sequence.
- An empty column can take any card, which makes it the most valuable space on the board.
The more free cells and empty columns you have, the longer a sequence you can move at once. A full set of free cells limits you to one card at a time, and that is how most lost games end.
Tips
- Before your first move, look for the aces and twos and see which columns bury them. Digging those out early gets the foundations moving.
- Treat free cells as short-term loans. Park a card only when you can see the move that frees it again.
- Try to empty a column completely. Pick the one with the fewest cards and work on that first.
- Do not rush cards onto the foundations. A low card you send up too soon might be the one you need as a landing spot for a card of the opposite colour.
Nearly every deal can be won, so a loss usually means a plan that went wrong earlier. If you get stuck, undo a few moves and try a different order before you give up on the deal.

Questions about FreeCell
Is FreeCell unblocked at school?
FreeCell runs in an ordinary browser tab from adanceoffireandice.com, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
How do I move cards in FreeCell?
Click or tap a card to pick it up, then click or tap the destination to place it. The build also has undo and hint buttons.
What is the goal of FreeCell?
Move all 52 cards onto the four foundation piles, one per suit, building each from ace up to king.
Can every FreeCell deal be won?
Almost all of them can. A lost game usually comes from filling the free cells too early, so use undo and try a different order.
Does FreeCell work on a phone or Chromebook?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser, and touch works the same way as the mouse: tap a card, then tap where it goes.
